Click below to listen to our exclusive interview with Gary Hamilton as he reviews a busy pre-season and looks ahead to the season ahead.

Newly appointed Club Captain Ciaran Martyn will be missing the first few weeks of the season after he picked up a calf strain against Ards Rangers and James Singleton has a neck injury but it’s hopeful that midfield kingpin Andy Kilmartin has overcome his calf problem. Gary also informed us that Jamie Rea has signed on loan with Loughgall until January 2016.

Former Glenavon defender Fra Brennan has signed for the Reds from Dungannon Swifts and Tommy Breslin continues to be linked with a move to sign Portadown striker Darren Murray to replace the prolific Joe Gormley who is now with Peterborough United.

Our Sponsors

Our match sponsor for the first game of the season is Club President Gordon Irwin who, of course, is closely associated with our main club sponsors Bedeck. Our new home jerseys sport a ‘Bedeck 1951’ logo, the date marking the original foundation of R A Irwin and Sons which later became Broomhill before adopting the Bedeck name by which it is now known worldwide.

Ball Sponsor tomorrow is Glenavon Director and the Club’s Community Liaison Officer Eddie Drury who is well known for his charity fund raising, not to mention playing the dame in the local panto!

The Glenavon Man of the Match award is sponsored by Negative Equity NI who are the main sponsors of the Glenavon Academy. Negative Equity NI helps hundreds of families and individuals deal with their negative equity debt problems everyday.
