danske-logoThe big games just keep coming as Glenavon continue the push for a European place against the outgoing champions Cliftonville at Mourneview Park on Easter Tuesday (NB: kick off time is 3pm).

Having won the last four in the league, including a great 3-2 win against the visitors on their own patch just over three weeks ago, Glenavon will be looking to keep the momentum up and going all out for the three points that would take them level on points with Tommy Breslin’s Reds who are currently in the coveted 3rd place that would qualify for the Europa League.

Two-goal hero and Man of the Match in Saturday’s 4-0 win over Glentoran James Singleton insists the push for a European spot is on and he and his team mates will be going for the win on Tuesday, as he told Gary Ellis of the Lurgan Mail after the game on Saturday – click the photo for the video interview.INLM15-James vid

Glenavon First Team Coach Nigel Law was delighted with the clean sheet on Saturday and he too says Gary and the squad are focussed on pushing for that vital third place and Europa League qualification. “It’s really nice to be involved at the top end at this stage of the season. The boys deserve it; they’ve worked ever so hard all season. We’re winning games and we’ve only lost one game since Christmas.”

Don’t forget that it’s ‘Kids Go Free’ at Mourneview Park in all our remaining games this season. Children of Primary School age will be admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult.
