Preparations for Glenavon Director Trevor Harper’s sponsored walk on Saturday 23rd January at 10:30am are going well “I have 15 volunteers so far for the sponsored walk including at least one, if not two, from the management team!” reports Trevor.
If anyone is interested in taking part, sponsor sheets can be obtained from the Secretary’s Office at Mourneview Park.
Glenavon’s “3-2-1″ Xmas Draw will take place during the half-time interval at our home game against Portadown on Boxing Day.
Three prizes will be drawn, £300, £200 and £100. Some tickets for the draw are still available and will be on sale in the car park, the Bedeck Suite and the clubrooms prior to kick-off. Tickets are £2 each or 3 for £5.
The draw will be made on the pitch by Glenavon legend Sammy Wilson who won Irish League and Cup winners medals with our club and went on to play for Falkirk and Dundee. Sammy also won 12 Northern Ireland caps, the first 2 of those whilst with Glenavon.
