It’s back to League action for Glenavon as the Lurgan Blues travel down the M1 to face Dungannon Swifts at Stangmore Park tomorrow. Marty Quinn is banned from the touchline as he starts a three game suspension after losing his appeal against the sanction imposed when he was sent off at Solitude in October.

Dungannon Swifts held the Champions Glentoran to a scoreless draw at the Oval in midweek and they thrashed Institute 6-2 last Saturday in the first Leg of their Co-operative Insurance Cup tie so Dixie Robinson’s side will be feeling confident.

Marty is disappointed to be banned “I feel I’ve been harshly treated but we just have to get on with it. The team is in good hands with David and Jeff and we’ll have a chat with the players before we head down the motorway on Saturday and let them know that we want them to have a go and try and get back to the winning habit again that we had at the end of last season, beginning of this season. I have absolute faith in the players and if we can keep it tight we will score goals so there’s a lot of positivity in the camp.”

Mark Haughey will be out for a couple of weeks as he is suffering from tendonitis in his right knee but Conor McAnallen is available and he has done well in the recent games in which he featured.
