Glenavon’s score line matched the previous club record – a 12-0 Irish Cup win over First Liverpool in January 1996 – with hat tricks for James Costello and skipper Conor Walsh. The game will also be marked in the Club record books as the one in which Tony Grant completed a ton of goals for the club as he grabbed his 99th and 100th goals tonight.

It was also a memorable night for young defender Mark Haughey as he scored his first senior goal for Glenavon.

Walsh opened and closed the scoring, his first goal, in the 7th minute perhaps being aided by a touch off a defender but there was no doubt about his hat trick goal, the 12th for Glenavon, as he smashed in Trevor Molloy’s cross from 12 yards.

Marty Quinn had fielded a full strength squad and it showed, the Lurgan Blues never really troubled throughout the 90 minutes by their Mid Ulster League 1B opponents.

7 minutes: 1-0 Glenavon Skipper Conor Walsh’s header from Trevor Molloy’s corner was probably heading just wide before being deflected by a defender into the net.

15 minutes: 2-0 Tony Grant nets his 99th Club goal after a good cross to the near post by James Costello

17 minutes: 3-0 Costello taps in after Walsh’s effort from Molloy’s cross comes back off the near post.

25 minutes: 4-0 Grant cuts the ball back from the bye line for Costello to smash past Fletcher from 12 yards.

28 minutes: 5-0 Costello completes his hat trick as he rounds the keeper and calmly slots it into the empty net.

34 minutes: Neat move with Harpur feeding Costello but Molloy lifts his lay off just over the bar from 14 yards.

41 minutes: 6-0 Molloy scores with a curling free kick from 20 yards that left the keeper looking helpless and bemused.

50 minutes: Aaron Gallagher puts a header over from Stephen Jones’ cross for the Juniors.

56 minutes: Tony Grant makes it 7-0 with his 100th competitive goal in his Glenavon career. Murray’s corner was punched straight up in the air by the Seapatrick keeper and Tony simply nodded the ball in from 6 yards to earn his place in the club history books.

60 minutes: 8-0 Harpur’s 25 yards shot is pushed around the post for a corner and Mark Haughey runs onto Molloy’s corner to head powerfully past Fletcher for his first senior Glenavon goal.

66 minutes: It’s 9-0 as two Glenavon subs combine just five minutes after coming on, Gary Liggett heading home powerfully at the near post from Stuart King’s corner.

76 minutes: 10-0 Walsh just gets a touch to deflect Harpur’s shot past Fletcher

77 minutes: Tony Grant goes off with all subs used, Glenavon playing with 10 men.

80 minutes: Seapatrick’s closest effort of the night sees Ally Beck volley inches over as he connects well with Chris McGrath’s near post cross.

84: 10-1 Beck gets a reward for his efforts as he chips over Plummer from 40 yards with Glenavon expecting an offside decision – but there are no linesmen and it was an excellent finish by the visitor’s striker!

87 minutes: 11-1 a magnificent 40 yard free kick by Molloy dips over Fletcher and just under the bar; his second brilliant free kick goal of the night.

88 minutes: 12-1 It’s a club record-equalling score as Walsh smashes in Molloy’s cut back from 10 yards.
